Kira McLemore, PA-C
Kira believes that the best and most rewarding part of her job is seeing patients through the debilitating pain of end-stage osteoarthritis. She helps them through the struggle of rehabilitation following surgery and enjoys celebrating “on the other side” when they can resume their normal activities. Kira feels that the “major mantras” for post-surgical patients should be “Use it or lose it” and “No pain, no gain.” She provides support, encouragement, commiseration as needed, and celebration as much as possible. She knows that the patient does the real work in relieving joint pain and providing greater quality of life for themselves.
Kira enjoys hiking with her dog and exploring Albuquerque’s extensive “foodie” culture. When not in surgery or clinic, she relaxes by painting and cooking.
