What drives Dr. Newhoff in medicine is a genuine desire to help people. As a hand and upper extremity specialist, he is dedicated to helping patients regain function and return to the activities they enjoy most. He is especially drawn to hand surgery because of its complexity and the significant impact that successful treatment can have on a patient’s quality of life. Dr. Newhoff enjoys treating a wide range of hand and upper extremity conditions in both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Newhoff believes that the best outcomes come from a collaborative approach to care. He works closely with each patient to review the risks and benefits of every treatment option, ensuring they have the information needed to make confident, informed decisions. Together, they develop a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s goals. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Newhoff has participated in research projects aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of orthopaedic conditions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Newhoff enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, and reading. He also has a strong athletic background, having played collegiate and semi-professional baseball as a pitcher in Iowa.
