Dr. Schannen finds the most rewarding part of orthopaedic surgery in helping patients restore their function and return to the activities they enjoy most. Through both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options, he works closely with each patient to create an individualized care plan tailored to their goals and lifestyle.

He believes that every patient should have a clear understanding of all available treatment options. By discussing the benefits and considerations of each approach, Dr. Schannen partners with his patients to determine the treatment plan that best fits their needs. He recognizes that there is rarely only one right way to treat a condition, and he is committed to helping patients make informed decisions about their care.

Outside of work, Dr. Schannen enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, skiing, and fly fishing.
