Jeffrey Racca, MD | PRESIDENT
Dr. Jeffrey Racca is the President of New Mexico Orthopaedics. The independent medical group has been serving patients throughout New Mexico for over 30 years and is the state’s only orthopaedic practice that offers diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation within one group. New Mexico Orthopaedics has a tradition of recruiting the best trained and most experienced physicians in the field.
As a member of the practice since 2006, Dr. Racca concentrates on general orthopaedics, keeping current with the latest techniques in cartilage repair and total joint replacement. His undergraduate degree from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, combined with his advanced medical training, allows Dr. Racca to lead the practice with both a clinical and business perspective.
Under his leadership, New Mexico Orthopaedics has added physicians and locations as the group works to meet patients where they are, with the services they need in order to treat all of their orthopaedic concerns. Working with New Mexico Orthopaedics’ Chief Executive Officer, Nancy Adelsheim, the practice has grown to include five locations in the greater Albuquerque area; four of them provide physical therapy and one provides surgery.
Dr. Racca attended medical school at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Racca is passionate about delivering excellence in all areas of care from the point of entry through treatment and rehabilitation. “Excellence in Motion” is much more than a slogan; it is a way of practicing medicine.
Away from work Dr. Racca likes cycling, snow skiing and other sports activities. Since family is extremely important to Dr. Racca, he prioritizes spending time with his wife and children.
